Intelligence in Future Networks and Communications

22nd October, Prof. Tony Q.S. Quek was invited by IBM iIoT Research Center to give a speech at Engineering Building D. ED 824. Currently, he is a tenured Associate Professor with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He also serves as the Acting Head of ISTD Pillar and the Deputy Director of SUTD-ZJU IDEA. His current research topics include wireless communications and networking, security, big data processing, network intelligence, and IoT.

Professor Li-Chun Wang spoke highly of Prof. Tony Q.S. Quek and introduced him to the audience. Recent breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and machine learning are providing us with technologies to perform tasks that once seemed impossible. At the heart of this technological revolution, it is clear that we will need to have increasing intelligence over a massively scalable, ultra-high capacity, ultra-low latency, and dynamic new network infrastructure. In this talk, Prof. Tony Q.S. Quek discussed about intelligence for future networking and communications, and shared some interesting applications and their preliminary works in this area.

At the end of talk, Prof. Li-Chun Wang and Prof. Chia-Han Lee shared their opinions and their own team works with Prof. Tony Q.S. Quek. And students majoring in relative field also shared their questions.
